staying at village at childs meadow was a pleasant surprise! the staff was super friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. it’s located really close to lassen national park, making it a great spot for outdoor lovers. we enjoyed a fantastic meal at the nearby restaurant, which was an awesome bonus.

The little breakfast area was a game changer with a microwave and coffee maker, perfect for fueling up before hitting the trails. After a long day hiking in that fine landscape, it was very nice to crash in a clean, cozy room and enjoy the morning sun flooding in.

The TV didn't work throughout my stay, which was a letdown after a busy day. It would have helped to have more space for clothes and toiletries, as it felt a bit cramped. I would encourage travelers to check it out, particularly for its excellent atmosphere.

Exploring over 200 miles of hiking trails was a highlight, and the spots around those trails offered stunning views. We also enjoyed some cosmic art beneath a starry sky. Just a heads up, there were some limited amenities like the onsite shop's hours.

We had some frustrations with the housekeeping, which missed replenishing coffee supplies during our stay.
